This year’s Reign of Terror haunted house will be bigger than ever when it opens in October with 95 rooms and eight different frightening themes including The Asylum, Quarantine, Blood Manor and the new Infected.

Ticket prices are $19 for general admission and $30 for express, front of line, admission. The ticket office will be open on Reign of Terror dates and everyone in line will get guaranteed entrance. Or purchase your tickets on line at: http://www.rothauntedhouse.com/

Families with younger children can visit an illuminated Reign of Terror on two Saturdays, October 22 and October 29 from 1 – 4 p.m. Admission for the daytime Reign of Terror experience is $5 for children and adults.

It’s more than a good scare that makes Reign of Terror a success. Each year Janss Marketplace provides the 18,000 square foot space for the haunted house and donates all proceeds from entrance fees to the Conejo Recreation and Parks District. The all-volunteer staff at the Reign of Terror includes haunted room set designer and founder Bruce Stanton and community volunteers of all ages who help as ghosts, goblins, vampires and staff roles such as hosts and ticket takers.

The popularity of the haunted house fundraiser at Janss Marketplace grows each year as does the donation to the Conejo Recreation and Park District (District). During the past seven years Reign of Terror at Janss Marketplace has generated more than $133,00 in donations. The annual donation benefits the District’s Thousand Oaks Teen Center, Young Artists Ensemble programs and the Conejo Theatre for Everyone, which gives special needs youth the opportunity to perform.

Janss Marketplace is part of a portfolio of more than 80 shopping centers owned or managed by NewMark Merrill Companies, Inc., also headquartered in Thousand Oaks.
